Writer
Writer/ Producer
I'm only accidentally a published writer. In high school I got 2nd place at the Harvard National Forensics tournament for Humorous Interpretation in a piece I "illegally" wrote myself, Poisoned Kool-Aid. Technically, the rules say it must be a published work. Fortunately, my summer camp boyfriend knew how to publish online, just in case I got caught (shhh). At that time I was also a part of a performance troupe sponsored by Planned Parenthood, and we had the unique opportunity to not only get a comprehensive sex education, but also to write scenes for our peers about sex.
In New York I've developed three plays with Core Artists Ensemble via the off-broadway theater company the Barrow Group: House of Tarts, Sidekicks, Top of the Morning. Later moving into screenwriting with Kumquat Kelly (Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, Berlin Lift-Off Film Festival, New Filmmakers New York), Bodies Are Weird (post production), and A Day at the Park.
In addition to crafting my own stand up comedy material, I most recently have been thrilled to be a part of Eros Unbound: monthly erotic reading series at The Red Pavilion for the last year and a half, debuting all new pieces: Kink and other Existential Questions, Morning Wood, Fly on the Wall, Beginner's Mind, Take Me to Church, Wild at Heart, Justice for 69, This Little Piggy Stayed Home
TRAINING: One Man Show Class with Seth Barrish, Playwriting with Arlene Hutton, Writing for TV with John Yearley, Writing for Film K. Lorrel Manning
